Subordinate Adverb Clause
Subordinate Adverb Clause বাক্যের এমন একটি Subordinate Clause (যার একটি subject ও একটি finite verb রয়েছে) যে Clause টি Sentence-বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত হয়ে Adverb এর কাজ করে । অর্থাৎ Verb, Adjective ও Adverb কে Qualify করে, তাকে Adverb clause / Subordinate Adverb clause ধরতে হয়।এ clause দ্বারা কারণ, ফলাফল, উদ্দেশ্য, সময় ইত্যাদি প্রকাশ পায়। Example: I know where he lives.
সাধারনত কোন Clause-এর শুরুতে because, since, till, until, when, while, although, if, so that, lest থাকলে তাকে adverbial Clause বলে। Example: Do you want to go where I went? / He studied hard so that he might pass in the first division.
Types of Adverb Clause
Adverb Clause কে নিম্নলিখিত দশভাগে ভাগ করা যায়। যথাঃ

বাক্যের অবস্থা অনুযায়ী Adverb Clause বিভিন্ন ধরণের হতে পারে। WH এর দ্বারা গঠিত কিছু Adverb Clause এর উদাহরণ নীচে উল্লেখ করা হলঃ-
Where:
(a) He told me where he lives. (Noun Clause)
(b) He told me the place where he lives. (Adjective Clause)
(c) He went where he lives. (Adverb Clause)
When:
(a) I know when he will come. (Noun Clause)
(b) I know the time when he will come. (Adjective Clause)
(c) I shall come when he will come. (Adverb Clause)
