A blacksmith

Introduction:                 
Man is the best creation of God and so every person in this world must be held with equal respect. Similarly, no job is disrespectful in this world. But many people discriminate between jobs, specially the occupations that offer little salary. One such occupation is that of the blacksmith’s. Blacksmiths are hardworking people with honest income. They are the ones who make life easier for us by providing services that we take for granted.

Life of a Blacksmith:
A blacksmith is a metal smith who creates objects from wrought iron or steel by forging the metal, using tools to hammer, bend, and cut. The work of a blacksmith is creative, dangerous and needs technical skills.                         

They start working in their workshop from dawn and works up to late night. They remain busy preparing and mending various tools and utensils. They earn an average of 5000 taka or less per month and needs to maintain their family through that.

Blacksmiths make objects such as gates, grilles, railings, light fixtures, furniture, sculpture, tools, agricultural implements, decorative and religious items, cooking utensils and weapons. They work by heating pieces of wrought iron or steel, until the metal becomes soft enough to be shaped with hand tools, such as a hammer, anvil and chisel. They take orders from the clients and also display some of his their creations in their shop.

Importance:
Blacksmiths provide us with the daily necessities of life and makes our life more comfortable. If this doesn’t remain in vogue then people will fall in short of the necessary items as well as the comfort in life. So, more opportunities for the blacksmiths should be created in order to let them lead a better life.

Conclusion:
In spite of all the hard labor, it is pretty hard for them to make their ends meet. But that is a really creative and prestigious job and not many people can do this with perfection. Therefore, we must treat such people of the society with due respect and honor.
