Human immunodeficiency virus infection and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) is a spectrum of conditions caused by infection with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Following initial infection, a person may not notice any symptoms or may experience a brief period of influenza-like illness.[5] Typically, this is followed by a prolonged period with no symptoms.[6] As the infection progresses, it interferes more with the immune system, increasing the risk of common infections like tuberculosis, as well as other opportunistic infections, and tumors that rarely affect people who have working immune systems.[5] These late symptoms of infection are referred to as AIDS.[6] This stage is often also associated with weight loss.[6]
HIV is spread primarily by unprotected sex (including anal and oral sex), contaminated blood transfusions, hypodermic needles, and from mother to child during pregnancy, delivery, or breastfeeding.[13] Some bodily fluids, such as saliva and tears, do not transmit HIV.[14] Methods of prevention include safe sex, needle exchange programs, treating those who are infected, and male circumcision.[5] Disease in a baby can often be prevented by giving both the mother and child antiretroviral medication.[5] There is no cure or vaccine; however, antiretroviral treatment can slow the course of the disease and may lead to a near-normal life expectancy.[6][7] Treatment is recommended as soon as the diagnosis is made.[15] Without treatment, the average survival time after infection is 11 years

Introduction:
Different people have different goals  in  their  life. There are various professions like engineer, teacher, scientist, lecturer, doctor etc. But for achieving our aims we have to work from the very beginning.Â
Why my aim is to be a doctor:
I searched my plus and minus side of intelligence and knew that I have a strong memory power. I like and score well in science subjects. I also want to serve people when I grow up. Therefore, I decided to become a Doctor.
One day, when I was going with my family to the market, I saw a poor man begging for his son. His son was dying because of a disease. I felt very bad for him. I also want to become a doctor so that I can help the poor people who cannot afford good medical treatment.
Importance of doctors:
It is  a very rewarding and satisfactory job. A doctor is someone who can help ill people. Doctors are very respected in the society. There are many types of doctors like eye-specialist, skin-specialist etc. I want to become a child specialist.
How I will prepare:
I know that becoming  a doctor is not a very easy task. It is a long journey of study to become a good doctor. But I have confidence in myself to accomplish the target. I will try my best to be sincere in my studies.
Conclusion:
It is said that a life without aim is like a boat without a rudder. However, in order to fulfill one’s aim, he/she must work hard with determination and dedication.Â
